Currently using these guys. They are very good. Custom builds no problem. Emails
always answered. The owner always answers his phone. Price and quality was what
won me over plus they have delivered over 1,000 homes.

Getting close to the end of the build with these guys now.
Mackay regional Council were a bit siow with all the necessary approvals but AMB
were on top of it. It has been a bit slow and a bit difficult in communication with these
guys sometimes but they always get back to me with the information that I need.
Tim is the owner and he's also the project manager. I spoke to him face-to-face this
weekend just gone while I went down to do a final inspection on the build. The quality
is good, the build finish is good and a couple of things I noted that weren't quite right
he has put on the quality control list to have sorted
All we're doing now is waiting for the footings to get done and theoretically it could
be delivered within the fortnight.
One of the good things about dealing with these guys is that they do all the council,
all the engineering, they do the footings and the delivery and all the certification. It's
built in Ipswich so it's not some Chinese rubbish that can never be approved because
of plumbing and electrical etc and I've found them to be quite reasonably priced as
well.

For balance, it does seem like AMBhas plenty of happy customers when things go
smoothly. My concern is what happens when they don't.
I can't comment ontheir build quality because they withdrew before installing my
mums home. My concerns are about how our project and family were handled once
we pushed back on an almost $70k payment being demanded before it was
contractually due, and the coercive pressure that followed around payment, legal
advice and QBCC involvement.
If you're considering them, l'd read the positive reviews, but l'd also read the
documented timeline of our experience and make up your own mind
l've published the emails, legal correspondence and Tim's own public responses, so
you don't have to take my word for it.

Alex but AMB aren't building for you or your mother, it's an imported
Chinese Expandify home that you're talking about. AMBonly got involved in
order to install it
Perhaps tell the truth and all of the story before you go in here and spread
misinformation

Misterr Mac I literally said they didn't build mums home in the comment
above.
What exactly is misinformation that I'm spreading?

Alex nowhere in your comment above did you say they did not
build your mother's home.
You said that you can't comment onthe quality because they pulled out
before it was installed.
Please highlight the areathat I've obviously missed where it says they
didn't build your mother's home and your comment on this thread.

Misterr Mac I'm using "build quality" to mean the quality of AMB's
building/installation work. They withdrew before installing Mum's home, so
as l've repeatedly said, I can't comment on that.
You've acknowledged yourself that AMB was brought in for installation.
We agree on that. AMB did not manufacture Mum's home, and I haven't
claimed otherwise.
Not spelling out "they didn't manufacture it" in that particular comment is
not the same as claiming they did.
My criticism is about Tim's conduct while AMB was involved in our project.
Your good experience with AMB does not negate ours.
Tim's involvement in the payment demands, his request for the remittance
and his statements about AMB's continued involvement are precisely why
his conduct is relevant. If you think l've fabricated a factual claim about
that conduct, identify it specifically.
We were not refusing to pay. We wanted Mum's house finished. We
questioned being pushed to hand over another almost $70,000 before the
contractual milestone had occurred, and wanted to proceed safely and in
line with the contract.
I think that matters enormously when people have their housing security
and life savings tied up in these projects. Pressuring someone to pay early,
before the agreed milestone and without a clear pathway to completion, is
not behaviour I'm prepared to shrug off just because other customers had
a better experience.
And ours is not the only negative experience. There are other one-star
reviews raising similar concernsabout pressure, communication andhow
disputes were handled.
Even if that is a small number of customers, those customers still matter.
You have no idea what the impact of Tim's behaviour has been on us. I'm
rug, only for the same thing to happen to someone else.
The full timeline and supporting evidence is on the website 1 keep linking
because there is far too much to reproduce in every Facebook comment.
You're entitled to recommend AMB based on your experience. I'm equally
entitled to warn people based on mine.
